I can put myself in the skin of the photographer that sees this group of ladies walking down, and wants to get a picture of them, with the initial idea of not being ¨discovered¨.

But the last girl in the group noticed his presence and looked back in the right moment, i love her expresion.

The depth of field is just right, it makes you focus on the girl as she is looking at you.

I think B/W works great and the light and tones perfect.

About originality, well i have already seen shots like this before, but what is difficult is to make it work, and this works!!

Lovely shot. The motion in it is wonderful, as is all the different heights of the girls present in the shot. Nice tone work as well. I also have to admire how the girls in the front of the pack are lighter in tone versus the darker clothed one which is looking back. That's just magic.
